I have stayed at the AC hotel on several occasions even as a Marriott member, however booking this hotel for day use was not a great pleasure, we were given a room on the first floor even though we added in the notes prior to booking that we would like a high floor but we were told on arrival we were only allowed first floor for day use we weren’t told this by day use before booking and secondly we were given an accessible room with a disabled bathroom area which was not what we asked for. The bed was not secure it kept moving out of place and made noises and the atmosphere outside was so noisy to get anything done we ended up checking out by 12pm after only checking at 9am.

We choose this because we assumed you pay more you get better and well we did in some ways but not in others. It all started at check in. we were supposed to be paying £95 for a room between 10am and 5pm and on check in we were told it was 4:30pm check out. took this on the chin and carried on. once in the room it was most definitely a lot smaller than normal in Manchester when you pay less we decided to put on the tv and radio, but nope. so resorted to Youtube but i think the internet must of been 0.1mb because it played all of a few seconds of music and then nothing. we had better luck putting on bbc 1 we left for lunch came back and all was as we left it (100% better than previous places), yet we were lay there in the bed and at 2 we had someone basically knock and try to walk straight into the room. this I was not happy about at all. when he couldn't get in he was asking us when we checked out. why could he not of done this with the front desk? why was this not communicated to him so he didnt even try to walk in on us? if you want private time together and decent media i would avoid this hotel if you want silence and disturbance this is the place. overall for £95 we will choose the Hilton over this place next time
